Sessions type:
Plenary

Moral adversity is an unavoidable reality in healthcare that has been exacerbated during the pandemic and with intensification of structural injustices. How we respond to moral adversity impacts our integrity and wellbeing and can lead to various forms of moral suffering. Together we will explore the contemporary sources of moral suffering, common responses to it and promising practices to address it-individually and systemically. Results from the Mindful, Ethical Practice & Resilience Academy (MEPRA), a program designed for frontline nurses to cultivate moral resilience, will be shared.
