It is well recognized that health professionals exhibit chronic stress and high prevalence of burnout across specialties and that this manifests early during training. To address this, faculty at the University of Cincinnati and Georgetown University implemented a course in mind-body medicine (MBM) skills designed to help participants reduce stress, foster self-awareness and enhance well-being. This presentation will share outcomes and lessons learned from implementing MBM courses over several years at two institutions.
