Remembrance and Renewal grew from a staff-identified need to acknowledge and process grief in oncological healthcare for their well-being and that of their patients. Oncology professionals experience multilevel and varied loss, grief and bereavement in clinical practice while caring for cancer patients. Acknowledging this aspect of the healthcare provider role and providing individual and corporate support can improve job satisfaction and decrease compassion fatigue. Learn how this intervention provides a healing space for oncology professionals to acknowledge losses and continues to be stewarded by an interdisciplinary team of professionals, including chaplaincy, nursing and social work.
