Research shows that more than half of all healthcare clinicians and staff across the country experience symptoms of burnout, such as depression and unhealthy lifestyle behaviors. The mental and physical well-being of providers is dependent on the quality, safety and cost of patient care. This national forum, sponsored by the National Academy of Medicine Action Collaborative on Clinician Well-being and Resilience, Nationawide Children's Hospital, Wexner Medical Center, The Ohio State University Office of The Chief Wellness Officer and Colleges of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Optometry, Pharmacy, Social Work, Veterinary Medicine and the Fisher College of Business, focuses on enhancing wellness, resilience and healthy lifestyle behaviors in providers, clinical and non-clinical staff, and students across all healthcare disciplines. This Call for Abstracts supports the summit’s aim to highlight evidence-based practices, strategies and research to improve outcomes and promote resilience-building for all those working in healthcare settings.
