Anthony J. Kostelnak BS, RN received his Bachelor of Science in Systems & Behavioral Neuroscience from The Ohio State University in May 2018, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New York University in January 2020. In March 2020, Kostelnak, an Ohio-native, began his nursing career in New York City, working during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, Kostelnak is working as a staff nurse at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center in acute geriatric medicine.
Kostelnak, an avid runner and plant-based clinician, is an advocate of nursing student well-being. During his education at New York University (NYU), he and colleagues examined nursing student well-being in an endeavor to create a healthier, more informed nursing workforce. Kostelnak has presented his work to undergraduate nursing students, faculty and administrators from around the globe.
Additionally, Kostelnak is an Assistant Research Scientist at New York University and is the Entrepreneurial Lead and Co-Founder of the Electronic Patient Visit Assessment (ePVA), a web-based software that he, along with two NYU professors (Drs. Janet Van Cleave & Nadia Sultana), developed. The ePVA is a service platform that provides high value, essential and relevant patient-reported answers at point of care for cancer teams to deliver high-quality clinical treatment.
