Beth is currently the Associate Chief Nursing Officer with oversight of the Critical Care, Emergency Services and Clinical Resources across the OSU Wexner Medical Center. With a secondary role as founding member of the Medical Center’s Health and Wellness programming, Beth has utilized her training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, as a Registered Yoga Teacher and an Urban Zen Integrative Therapist to facilitate programming to decrease stress and improve resilience for bedside staff. Current research projects include embedding integrative modalities into the clinical workflow and unit environments to enhance provider resilience and decrease stress which may impact patient, safety and quality outcomes.

Beth received her BSN (1984) and MS (1999) at The Ohio State University College of Nursing. Her PhD work is focused on the organizational facilitators and barriers to integrating resiliency interventions into the work site for nurses, assessing individual, patient-related and organizational outcomes. She has several publications related to the integration of mind-body interventions into the worksite for critical care nurses.
