Dr. Crystal White, DNP, APRN, NP-C is a Family Nurse Practitioner from Paris, Illinois where she serves in the Occupational Health Clinic of the Horizon Health system, a rural hospital and clinic system serving Edgar County and the surrounding areas of East Central Illinois. She earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Frontier Nursing University in March 2020, and her Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Primary Care from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2012. Since earning her FNP, she has also served as a Family/ Primary Care Provider and as the sole provider for a monthly Women’s Health Clinic for marginalized women through her local health department.

Her research interests include stress management for healthcare workers, expansion of the FNP role globally, and nursing education. Her doctoral project included creating a stress management program for local healthcare workers to add to the existing wellness program at Horizon Health.

In addition, Crystal most enjoys planning and experiencing adventures with her two grandsons, ages 8 and 4. She is very involved in her local church as a singer and teacher,  and has served on medical and Christian mission teams in the family islands of the Bahamas, Ghana West Africa, Trinidad and Tobago, Mongolia, China, and Cuba.
