Dr. Kreger is a professor of clinical internal medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and director of IMWELL, the Department of Internal Medicine Residency Committee for Wellness, as well as co-director of The Healer's Art extracurricular offering for first-year medical students and co-advisor to the Gold Humanism Honor Society at Ohio State. As a clinician educator in the Division of General Internal Medicine, Dr. Kreger sees patients in the ambulatory setting and precepts in the residents’ ambulatory continuity clinic and has devoted much of her career to educating students, residents and faculty. Dr. Kreger's academic focus has been faculty development and small group facilitation, as well as care of the caregiver with emphasis on ways to promote the professional well-being of students, residents and faculty. She has presented workshops nationally and regionally on such topics as cultivating mindful self-compassion as a tool for self-care, finding and maintaining meaning in medical practice, and the healing power of narrative in medicine.Â
