Dr. Dan Dziadura is director of rehabilitation services with Banner Health in Phoenix, Arizona. He received his Doctor of Health Sciences from A.T. Still University and a master’s degree in physical therapy from Boston University. His doctoral work focused on self-perceptions of professional resilience in hospital employees, and he has a passion for improving the quality of care through staff resilience and patient satisfaction.  

Dr. Dziadura’s additional work includes the completion of a certificate in clinical and applied hypnosis at Saybrook University. Using this certification, he established a volunteer Guided Imagery Program at Banner Health to assist patients in gaining relief from anxiety, pain and nausea. In a successful pilot study conducted at Banner Estrella Medical Center, research participants reported 50 percent reductions in anxiety, pain and nausea after only a single session of guided imagery in the hospital. This pilot has laid a strong foundation for further research into this exciting field. 

To further advance the field of physical therapy, Dr. Dziadura is an adjunct faculty member for the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Franklin Pierce University in Arizona, and he is a faculty member for the Leadership Certificate Program of the American Physical Therapy Association. He is a healthcare innovator committed to improving the health of communities and building resilience among healthcare employees.
