Jacqueline Hoying is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice, Director of MINDSTRONG (cognitive-behavioral skills building program), and Director of Consumer Core Helene Fuld Health Trust National Institute for Evidence-Based Practice in Nursing and Healthcare at The Ohio State University.

Hoying has in-depth skills and experience conducting theory-based intervention research as a project coordinator, interventionist, and on site Co-Investigator on NIH-funded projects in school settings and the community. Hoying is an expert in the MINDSTRONG/MINDBODYSTRONG intervention and has successfully trained a variety of professionals in the intervention. She has successfully conducted research studies with various populations such as minority underserved pre-adolescents, college graduate students, hospitalized adolescents and pregnant women utilizing cognitive-behavioral skills building intervention. Her focus is on mental health resilience and healthy lifestyle behaviors to reduce stress and optimize well-being. She will lead the Consumer Core of the College of Nursing’s new Helene Fuld Health Trust National Institute for Evidence-Based Practice in Nursing and Healthcare.

Hoying earned her BSN from Capital University, Columbus, Ohio; an MS and PhD in Nursing from The Ohio State University. Hoying has presented her research findings nationally and internationally. She has published findings from her intervention research with adolescents and co-authored publications on healthy lifestyle behaviors and health outcomes with youth and college-aged populations.
