Dr. Jane Hedrick has been a faculty member at Saint Luke’s College since 1997. The focus of her career in nursing education has been in evidence-based nursing and professional practice, with a clinical focus in maternal-child and community health nursing. Dr. Hedrick has given 13 conference presentations and published 11 journal articles. She received the Professional Achievement Faculty Award from Saint Luke’s College in 2004, and her dissertation was nominated for an Outstanding Dissertation Award that same year. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau and has been a member of Saint Luke’s Hospital’s Nursing Research Council since 1993.

Hedrick serves as the Principal Investigator leading a team of faculty for their research study: “A Descriptive Study of Adverse Childhood Experiences and Depression, Anxiety and Stress among Undergraduate Nursing Students”. Dr. Hedrick and her co-investigators have presented the study findings to the College faculty and staff and several clinical partners. Other recent research includes “Exploring the Effects of a Mentored ‘Nursing Research Clinical Scholar Program’ on Knowledge and Attitudes about Nursing Research” in 2015, and co-authoring “The Experience of Living with Peripheral Neuropathy (PN) After Organ Transplantation” in 2012. In 2015, she presented a poster at the 14th International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare entitled “Simulation and Technology Integration to Improve Clinical Outcomes.”
