Emergency Department Nurse at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore

Jessica Black is an emergency room nurse at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. She graduated from the University of Delaware in 2012 and began working at Sinai as a new graduate nurse. She obtained her CEN in 2015 and has continued to advance her career by becoming an AHA instructor and certified in TNCC and ENPC. She is passionate about family grieving and nurse well-being and created a team at Sinai to build a Family Room for grieving families just notified of their loved one’s death. She also established a policy for its use to also include the room to be used for staff debriefings. She is now enrolled at Stevenson University where she plans to obtain her Master's in Nursing Education. She and Kristina Crumbie-Barrick began orientation together and have been working on projects to enhance Sinai's ED ever since.
