Kara Shifler Bowers, RD, is a registered dietitian with six years of experience in designing and implementing wellness and educational programs. She currently serves as the project manager for several projects at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA. She has implemented wellness programs in more than 50 Boy Scout camps nationally as well as 11 Penn State campuses. Kara holds a Bachelor of Science in nutrition and dietetics from Messiah College and a Masters of Public Administration from The Pennsylvania State University. She has published an article in Preventative Medicine and has been featured in more than a dozen news outlets, including local television stations and US World News and Reports.
