Dr. Auciello received his bachelor of arts degree in chemistry and sociology, with honors, from The Ohio State University. He received his medical training at the West Virginia University School of Medicine, where he was elected a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He completed his family medicine residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital, where he served as chief resident, and was awarded the Family Medicine Resident of the Year award. He joined the Riverside faculty as assistant program director in 2016. He serves as the family medicine clerkship site director, the vice chair of the Department of Family Medicine at Riverside Methodist Hospital, the primary Riverside preceptor for Wellness on Wheels Primary Care and is a creator and ongoing facilitator for the OhioHealth Chief Resident Development Series. He is also the team lead at Riverside Methodist Hospital for AIAMC National Initiative VI: Stimulating a Culture of Well-Being in the Clinical Learning Environment. His interests include leadership development, physician wellness, underserved care and medical student education. His interests outside medicine include running, Ohio State and Cleveland sports, and spending time with his wife and two children.
